Biohome Gravel Aquarium Filter Media is a filtration media for under gravel filter, internal filters, HOB filters, small canister filters and DIY filters made for aquarium set ups.
As a premium quality sintered glass filter media, Biohome Gravel is the ideal substrate for your aquarium.
Biohome Gravel contains added high-grade Manganese Oxide.
This compound helps to removes chemical impurities, speeds beneficial bacteria growth (ie nitrifying (Aerobic) and denitrifying (Anaerobic)), reducing nitrites & nitrates.
Like all Biohome products, a good mechanical filtration must be provided to insure the water passing through Biohome does not contain any debris that might clog it.
It also supports growth of zooplankton and is the perfect playground for shrimp.
