The Wide-barred Shrimp Goby can be found in the rubble zones of the Indo Pacific, often in the company of a pistol shrimp. This species has an elongated body adorned with brown bars and speckled fins. They are peaceful creatures that prefer to inhabit a small cave and may even form a symbiotic relationship with a pistol shrimp. For optimal care, keep the Wide-barred Shrimp Goby in a 10-gallon or larger tank with a sandy bottom. It enjoys having peaceful tank mates and plenty of hiding spots. Introduce them simultaneously if keeping them in small groups or pairs. Their diet should consist of a variety of fresh or frozen chopped seafood, as well as brine and mysis shrimp, offered daily.
